Scrap 4 Life Round 2

Wow! I am so excited I made it through the second round at Scrap4Life , for the DT tryouts. We had to make a holiday/season layout, not using traditional embelishments, so you couldnt use a christmas tree on a christmas layout for example. I made a winter layout, I love these pictures of Tommy and Jake when they were little, Tommy was such a good big brother, pulling Jake around and trying to play lol. Well I'm off for Challenge 3 ! Wish me luck!

2 Sketches 4 You

I made this using Laura's 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch. I couldnt find matching ribbon so I sewed the black onto the white, which was really easy. I thought I would give this to my friends married at Christmas time.

Week One Scrap 4 Life Design Team Try Outs and 3D design challenge

This weeks challenge at 3D Design Challenge Blog was to make a page or design for this awesome tote bag. I decided to make a 4 season interchangable insert that changes with the seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. It is hooked in the middle so all 4 pieces stay together and can easily be flipped over and changed.

Scrap 4 Life DT Contest

I made this layout for the 1st week DT contest at Scrap 4 Life. Scrap 4 Life is a very fun message board with tons of challenges and contests, the nicest people ever, and a great store with quick service.

Our first challenge was to use circles on our background and only use alpha stickers. I really like how this turned out, the sewing around circles was a little crazy lol!

Now I'm off to work on round 2!

I made these cute little boxes from the challenge at: 3D Design Challenge Blog. Once I got the hang of it they were super easy. I had a little melt down making them lol. Just a minor one, screaming, a few bad words, nothing to nasty. I think I just am not thinking clearly yet or something. Anyway, I love how they turned out. I made them out of some paper in my stash, Pebbles Inc, from a dog kit. Its so funny because the kids know when the dogs have a birthday, Abby's is Sept 11th, and she will be 8 and Dakota turns 2 on November 1st. I grew up on a farm where we never knew how old are dogs were because they would just show up, and stay. And cats were a dime a dozen. But I love our pets. I think we will just buy a few little toys at the dollar store and stick them in the box.

They went to Poison and all I got was........

Well I was supposed to go to the Poison concert last night because I am a huge huge fan of Bret but since I didnt want him to see me in a wheel chair or a old lady walker I gave my ticket to Jeff and he took Amanda. He didnt want to go but he had a awesome time, the next door neighbors ended up sitting right next to them . So when they got home they had a present for me, a t shirt and a pair of pink panties with "Fallen Angel" written on the butt lol. I guess thats about sums me up lol. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
